Ms Suniti Nundoo-Ghoorah

Senior Lecturer and seniormost distance education practitioner, Suniti Nundoo-Ghoorah is a University of London postgraduate, and awardee of the British Council ‘English Teacher of the Year’ scholarship for continuous professional development at Oxford University. With decades of expertise in Communicatìon Skills, and English Language and Literature, she is one of the pioneer academics who set up the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) pillars of the Open University of Mauritius. Her research and conference presentation foci include: Gender Constructs, Writing Support, ODL, and Inclusiveness. Suniti enhances academia with professional savvy from her freelance media career spanning TV news, emceeing, and voice-overs. She has led institutional and national outreach projects, and is the founder of OU’s Community Engagement Cell. She is a Fellow of Advance Higher Education, UK.
