ON THE OCCASION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2025

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, the Open University of Mauritius in collaboration with the Federation of African Law Students (Falas), hosted a workshop on 21 March 2025. The workshop dealt with topics related to the challenges which women are currently facing. Areas explored included cybercrimes, stereotypes, and other sensitive matters affecting women in both virtual and real-world spaces. The panel featured six distinguished speakers, including university lecturers, legal professionals (attorneys and barristers), a psychologist, and the president of the Women’s Commission, ‘Dis-moi’.
