The Global Trends in Management, IT and Governance in an e-World (e-MIG 2023) with the theme ‘Resilience, Innovation and Management in a Turbulent Environment’, was organised by the Open University of Mauritius and the University of Kwazulu-Natal (South Africa) from 26 to 27 October 2023 at the Ravenala Attitude Hotel, Balaclava, Mauritius. This conference, which is the third one held in Mauritius, is a platform where national and international academics share research, build knowledge and expand their networks. One of the keynote speakers, Prof Stefan Husig, holder of Chair for Innovation, Research and Technology at the Technische Universitat Chemnitz, Germany, presented a paper on, “Digitalisation Meets Innovation Management: Drivers and Effects of Digital Innovation Management Systems in New Product Development”. The e-MIG 2023 event highlighted the impacts of COVID-19 and emphasised the importance of sustainable solutions. With 72 delegates from academia, business, and government, the hybrid conference drew participants from South Africa, Mauritius, Croatia, Germany, and other African nations. It received 102 abstract submissions, with 68 selected for the Book of Abstracts and 12 full papers published in the proceedings.
