B Ed (Hons) Primary Education (Top-Up)

The B Ed (Hons) Primary Education programme aims to provide learners with an in-depth understanding of the complex processes of teaching and learning, based on their academic knowledge and/or academic with theory, practice and research within the primary school setting.

You will acquire knowledge and skills that will enable you to cope with the changing educational demands of parents, the behavioral and academic problems of pupils; the challenges of leading the school as an organization, the prevention of safety and health hazards in primary schools and to be an active researcher in primary education.

With this Honours Degree programme, the learner may aspire to become an educator or a mentor in primary schools and do further studies at postgraduate level in any field at the Open University of Mauritius.
