MBA Specialisation Management Accounting(CIMA)
The MBA with Specialisation in Management Accounting is a dynamic postgraduate programme designed for professionals seeking to advance their expertise in financial strategy, performance management, and decision-making within a business context. This specialised MBA in Management Accounting equips students with both academic knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in senior financial roles across industries. This programme is a CIMA Accelerated MBA, offering the ideal curriculum blend that allows students to earn an MBA degree while simultaneously working toward the globally recognized CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification. Upon successful completion of the second-year exams, students become eligible to sit for the CIMA strategic level and management case study exams, gaining both an academic degree and a professional certification. Please note that any additional fees for the CIMA qualification are to be borne by the learner.
This master’s degree comprises of modules that make use of several accounting techniques which aim to provide future managers with the relevant information to assess the internal business environment as well as to deal with uncertainties and to evaluate alternative decisions and monitor the efficient application of selected strategies.
Entry Requirements |
Successful completion of an undergraduate degree with ●at least a Second Class or 50%, whichever is applicable or ●a GPA not less than 2.5 out of 4 or equivalent, from a recognised Higher Education Institution. OR An Ordinary Degree or a non-honors degree from a recognized University with at least two years of work experience in the relevant field which demonstrate that a candidate possesses appropriate knowledge and skills at a standard acceptable by the Academic Council. OR Possesses a Bachelor’s degree with an award below a Second-Class degree from a recognised institution and has at least two years of relevant working experience. OR alternative qualifications acceptable to the Open University of Mauritius.Note: Mature candidates will be considered on their own merit. (refer to OU general rules and regulations) |
