Afin de permettre à un plus grand nombre de personnes d’avoir accès aux études supérieures, L’OpenUniversity of Mauritius offre un grand éventail de « Foundation courses ». L’étudiant devrait avoir un minimum de quatre « Foundation courses » (l’Anglais est obligatoire) pour pouvoir s’inscrire en licence. Pour développer ses compétences d’apprentissage, l’étudiant va travailler dans le cadre des enseignements à distance de L’Open University of Mauritius. Il aura ainsi la possibilité de travailler à son propre rythme et selon son emploi du temps personnel.
